Ellipse

A decorative circle or oval.

CONTROLDECORATIVE

Two circles: one outlined with no fill, one filled blue.

Square bounds give a circle. As with a rectangle, fill and outline are separate and either can be Transparent.

An ellipse is decoration, drawn to whatever shape its bounds describe: square bounds give a circle, wider bounds an oval. Like every shape it reads no tags, writes nothing, and never intercepts a press.

  1. Open the document and select the screen you want from the screen tabs.
  2. In the control palette, press Ellipse and drag it onto the canvas.
  3. Hold it to a square to get a circle; the grid makes that easy to judge.
